Introducing Miette De Villiers, aka Glimmer (She-Ra and the Princesses of Power)

Previous Name: Glimmer
Myth: She-Ra and the Princesses of Power
Past Life Information: Glimmer is the Princess of Bright Moon, the daughter of the great Queen Angella. She's a fighter in the Rebellion -- the mobilized force trying to save the planet Etheria from the Evil Horde -- and, alongside her best friend Bow and their best friend Adora, helped re-establish the once defeated Princess Alliance. Etheria is still under threat and Glimmer is still learning how to master her teleportation and light-based energy powers, but with every adventure with Bow, Adora, and the Princesses, she's becoming more and more herself.

Current Name: Miette De Villiers
Age: 23
Occupation: Journalist
Personality: Miette is headstrong, stubborn, and ferocious. If you cross her, you may not survive. If you're on her good side? She's sunny, sweet, generous and kind. She's a little ray of sunshine, but don't you dare mess with her. Sometimes she's too stubborn or motivated by anger or pettiness for her own good, but it's possible she'll grow out of it. She's a little possessive with her friends and loved ones, but she's also incredibly loyal; she's the kind of person who shows up.

Background: Miette was adopted when she was a toddler. She doesn't remember Indonesia very well at all, but she's started to develop a curiosity about it that her family doesn't really like. Her parents and sister are all white and they mostly pretended that Miette was also white, which -- well, it might have seemed like a good idea at the time, but it's caused a host of problems for Miette as she got older; it's hard for her to define who she really is and what her various identities mean. That's probably why she was drawn to journalism: it's a quest for truths, and you can adore them in order of importance from the beginning to end of an article. Local news is fine and good, but Miette longs to write meatier, more investigate features. If she pays her dues, she hopes, the opportunities will come.
